Maria brink......................Maria Brink was born on December 18 1977 into a troubled family in New York. Her father left the family when she was just a little girl. In the age of 14 Brink became pregnant and was forced to leave high school. She moved to an apartment following the birth of Davion and began working at a laundromat. In 1995 Brink began her own band Pulse located on the streets of Albany New York. The group mostly played local shows for Coal Chamber, Sevendust and various other bands. But the band members later disbanded. The singer relocated to Los Angeles in 2002, in her late 20s and was looking for a break. Brink played in coffee shops, bars and even in shops as she sought the right band. After an audition, she got to meet Chris Howorth two years after first meeting him. Howorth did not want to take her on since she was a female. However, he changed his decision and apologized to her after listening to her singing. They formed a band called Dying Stars and Jeff Fabb, the drummer. They were later joined by guitar player Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. In This Moment was the band's name after their first two appearances.
